What we do
Our programs and services are designed to foster friendships and provide assistance during life transitions. We provide support for families to thrive by helping them overcome the challenges of relocating to the Washington, D.C. area and by working closely with the IMF to ensure services and benefits are available to all IMF staff families. Similarly, we seek to have a voice in IMF employee policies and procedures as they affect their families.
IMFFA offers informational sessions on topics of common interest, language programs, clubs, social and educational events, counseling services, professional career advice, and plenty of opportunities to socialize. Moreover, IMFFA fosters a multicultural environment by showcasing our members’ various cultures through events, conferences, and activities or workshops.
IMFFA informs its members of resources, facilities, and opportunities available to them through the IMF and in the Greater Washington area. The association also provides support to members whose spouses/partners are serving abroad.
